The FIFA museum opened to the public on 28th Feb 2016, at Tessinerplatz near Zurich-Enge station in Zurich. The FIFA World Football Museum celebrates the rich heritage of football and the game’s unique ability to connect and inspire people around the world. More than 1000 exhibits commemorate all 209 Member Associations and the museum's selection of historic documents, books, videos and pictures bring the story of how football became the world's most popular sport to life. Discover the origins of FIFA and international football. Relive your favourite World Cups and all the emotion that came with them. A multimedia experience from start to finish, the museum offers fans of all ages a spectacular look at the history of world football. One of the main attractions is the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The museum boast a sports bar, a bistro, a cafeteria, a shop and a library with more than 4,000 football-related books. A further highlight is the giant pinball machine, which invites visitors to test their own ball skills in a playful manner – guaranteeing plenty of fun, including for non-football fanatics.
