Maldives will open its borders and lift travel restriction for travellers from 15th July 2020. A 30 day free on – arrival tourist visa will be provided to the passengers. Accommodation should be booked only with the resorts or hotels which are registered with Ministry of tourism before travelling to Maldives. Transiting between resorts or islands is not allowed during this first phase of reopening. Booking should be done only in one resort or hotel, accommodation in multiple resorts/hotels is prohibited as of now. Bookings for tourist resorts, live boards will start from 15th July. Tourist will not be subject to quarantine process on arrival in Maldives. But if the passenger shows any symptoms at airport then they need to go through PCR test before entering the country. Screening process will be carried out at arrival and departure at Male airport. Passengers needs to follow guidelines and take safety measure while exploring their sunny side of life in Maldives.
